“Sprinkling color and joy into people’s homes…
one painting at a time.”
-Nadine Baurin
Nadine Baurin is a contemporary Argentine-American painter who currently lives in California, splitting her time between San Diego and Santa Cruz. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina --where her art education began-- Nadine later relocated to the U.S. in 1992 and received a B.A in Studio Art from Illinois' Principia College.
Worked and reworked into a series of shapes and colors ranging from rich, luminous hues to earthy, classical tones, Baurin’s paintings exude an expressive candor characterized by a rhythmic and dynamic undertone. Juxtaposed against the transitory shapes embedded within her paintings, Baurin’s oeuvre denotes an unequivocal spontaneity characterized by the uninhibited application of paint to canvas, creating images that are poetically charged with boldness, energy and emotion.
